Support a Bridge Family for a Day

In an ongoing effort to give everyone at Gloria Dei an opportunity to get involved with our Bridge Program, the mentor team started a new fundraising and awareness program on Mother's Day, called "Sponsor a Bridge Family -- for a Day."

We had a wonderful start to the program, with many of you signing up to sponsor a family for about 55 days of the year so far. This means we still have more than 300 days to be sponsored!

If you haven't already, please stop by the Bridge board in the Narthex to choose a day (or more) from the calendar to help support one of our Bridge families. the cost to Gloria Dei for rent and utilities for one Bridge family is about $26 per day, but any amount will be appreciated to help sponsor one of our families. the names of donors and those being honored will be noted in teh bulletin on a regular basis.

Each moth we will focus on a new topic related to the plight of homeless families in DuPage County. By contributing to Gloria Dei's support of rent and utilities, we are helping the families to pay bills on time, reduce debt and establish savings--all with the goal of self-sufficiency at the end of the two year program.
