Drop your no-longer-used cell phone (and those of your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers!) in the designated "Answering the Call for LSSI" drop box located on the Welcome Desk. By making donations to this cause, you help reduce the risk of the hazardous materials found in these phones that can poison the environment, and you may also help an elderly, sick, or disabled person obtain a refurbished 911 phone. This is in addition to helping raise funds to benefit the programs of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI), including the Community Counseling Center of the west/northwest suburbs. This center has provided counseling services for over 30 years, touching the lives of Lutheran church members and many others in need. this campaign will be an ongoing project this year. If you don't have an old cell phone to donate right now, please keep this campaign inmind as you purchase new cell phones in the future. Thank you.
