Gloria Dei doesn't stand by itself. We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The ELCA is divided into 65 synods (a Greek word that means "coming together"). We are part of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod, headed by Bishop Paul Landahl.
As part of the ELCA, we are also related to a number of agencies and institutions. Whether for. international outreach, social ministry, higher education, or leadership development, Gloria Dei is linked to partners that extend our work far beyond our own boundaries.
