A major part of Gloria Dei's ministry is partnership with community and international groups that carry out loving service. We believe it is integral to our ministry to be instruments of healing. Jesus said, "Whoever gives even so much as a cup of cold water to a thirsty one, because they are a disciple of mine, shall gain a great reward." (Matthew 10:42)
One way we express our partnership is through financial support. Our Mission and Justice Committee develops an annual budget so that a portion of every dollar contributed to Gloria Dei is used for causes like these. We also accept designated gifts for all of these efforts, and "pass through" your additional contributions
Another way we express our partnership is through individual members volunteering their time and effort for community organizations. While you can certainly contact agencies on your own, the church tries to make it easier for you by pointing out the areas of greatest need, and helping match your interests with the needs.
