Gloria Dei offers four worship services every weekend, in addition to special services during various church seasons. All four of our regular services are liturgical services of Holy Communion. Children are welcome at all services, but especially the 8:30 and 11:00 services on Sunday, when there is a children's sermon. A nursery (for preschoolers) is staffed from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. during the school year and from 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. during summer worship service times.
The services at 6:00 p.m. Saturday and 7:30am Sunday are simple spoken services, using the liturgy of Lutheran Book of Worship without music.
The 8:30am Sunday service is a more traditional Lutheran service, utilizing a variety of liturgical resources and weekly communion to help draw us closer to God. Choirs, soloists and other special music enhance worship. This service is ASL-interpreted for the hearing impaired.
The 11:00am Sunday service is a more contemporary Christian service with a unique Lutheran approach. Contemporary praise ensembles lead the music.
All our services include a focus on the Word of God, preaching, and Holy Communion.
Nursery care is available during both worship services. During the school year, coffee and fellowship follows the 8:30 service, as worshippers move to Christian education classes offered for both adults and children.
A list of upcoming special services (such as Advent and Lent mid-week services) can be found here.
