Café is an electronic magazine created and published by the women's organization of the ELCA that reflects the Women of the ELCA’s mission statement. This award winning e-zine is addressed to women wanting to build Community, participate in Advocacy, strengthen Faith, and strive toward Enlightenment (CAFE). Café was developed to reach out to women between the ages 18 to 35. However, women of every age visit Café. WELCA Circles offer women of Gloria Dei the
opportunity to grow in faith, offer support and
engage in ministry and action. Circles meet
monthly from September through June. Each Circle
has its own special ambience. You are welcome to visit several to find the right one for you.

Circle Descriptions
Elizabeth Circle
Time: First Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Place: Members' homes
Contact: Barb Schrage or the church office
Circle members are young women - single, married,
career women, stay at home Moms and working
Moms. Members enjoy fellowship, share mutual
interests and concerns and develop friendships.
They participate in the monthly Christian Action
projects.
Martha Circle
Time: First Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Place: Members' homes
Contact: Carol Richter or the church office
Circle members are caring, informal, creative,
supportive and fun loving. They enjoy working with
their hands to help others. Their meetings include
programs created and facilitated by their own
members portraying their many talents. They have
Bible study every other month: "Unveiling Mary
Magdalene," by Liz Curtis Higgins.
Priscilla Circle
Time: First Thursday at 7:00
Place: Members' homes
Contact: Joan Fisher or the church office
Members of the largest circle are of various ages
and have varied interests. They have a monthly
Bible study. Family Sharing at Christmas time as
well as other Christian Action projects are
supported. A library basket is circulated each
month.
Ruth Circle
Meets: First Tuesday at 12:00 noon
Place: Church lounge for dessert and coffee
Contact: Lillian Marohnic or the church office
This is the only Circle that meets during the daytime
and membership consists of women of all ages.
Their interests are divided equally between Bible
study and fellowship as well as supporting the
WELCA projects. Some members meet at
10:00am to help with caring for cards.
Sarah Circle
Meets: First Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
Place: Members' homes

These women are active in study and service.
They are reliable, responsible, happy and helpful
and have a lot of fun.
Many women are also involved in Labor of Love, the Altar Guild, and the prayer chain. In addition, the Caring Cards Ministry meets the first Tuesday morning of every month, and the Sixty Minute Book Group meets the third Monday of each month at 12:15.
