Gloria Dei offers many opportunities for musicians of all ages and abilities to participate. Choirs and musical groups are listed below. If you’re interested in singing or playing a musical instrument in worship, please contact our Director of Music and we will find a place for you to participate.

Rehearsals for the fall season begin Wednesday, September 4th.

GLORIA DEI MUSICAL ENSEMBLES:

FAITH CHOIR -TRADITIONAL CHOIR: HIGH SCHOOL - ADULT

Faith Choir provides liturgical leadership and anthems for the 8:30 a.m. service on most Sundays and festivals. Participation is open to all, and no previous experience is necessary.

KIDS OF THE KINGDOM CHOIR: GRADES 2-8

Kids of the Kingdom is a choir for children in grades 2 through 8 in which music reading skills and basic theory are learned. There are also occasional games, parties and treats to add to the fun. In addition to the musical, this choir sings once a month at either the 8:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. service. All are joyfully welcomed and encouraged to participate!

CHERUB CHOIR: AGES 4 - GRADE 1

Cherub Choir is for children ages 4 through grade 1. The Cherub Choir is an introduction to group singing, focusing on matching pitch, playing rhythm instruments, and singing in a variety of musical styles. The Cherubs sing in worship once a month and participate in the Kids of the Kingdom musical. Please join us for singing, games, Bible stories, and fun!

MERCY RISING - CONTEMPORARY VOCAL & INSTRUMENTAL:  HIGH SCHOOL - ADULT

The band Mercy Rising provides musical leadership at the 10:00 a.m. service. This ensemble is open to experienced vocalists and instrumentalists. Our band currently includes voice, guitar, bass, and drums.

GLORIA DEI BELL CHOIR: YOUTH - ADULT

Gloria Dei Bell Choir is for those with previous handbell experience and musicians who want to learn to play handbells. Musicians of any age are welcome. This group plays monthly in worship at either the 8:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. services.

BLESSED NOTES CHOIR: 2ND GRADE - SENIOR CITIZENS

Blessed Notes Choir is open to people second grade and older interested in learning to play bells and chimes.  Basic music skills and handbell techniques will be taught to anyone who wants to become a member.  From grade school to seniors, all are welcome.  We play at several services during the program year.
